#70 SpeedSouce RX-8 wins GT class!

The SpeedSource Castrol Syntec Mazda RX-8 has won the GT class at the 48th ROLEX 24 at Daytona,

The Mazda RX-8, driven by owner-driver Sylvain Tremblay, ex-Mazda Atlantic Series champion Johnathan Bomarito, and 2008 ROLEX 24 at Daytona winners (RX-8) David Haskell and Nick Ham, completed 707 laps (around 4,369 kilometres). They won the GT class and took 7th place overall. The #70 RX-8 was almost trouble-free except for some minor adjustments to the steering system after contact with a prototype car.

This marks Mazda's 23rd victory in the GT class of the ROLEX 24 at Daytona, 35 years since the manufacturer's first win in 1975.
