Hoping for a speedy recovery from the recent tragic events
by Takashi Yorino

We'd like to share with you the following message from Mr. Takashi Yorino, the ex-factory Mazda driver who was also a victim of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in 1995.

"I'd like to express my sympathy to all the victims of the recent Pacific Coast Tohoku Earthquake. I myself was a victim of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake back in 1995. As a result, I fully understand the sadness and pain experienced by all the people who faced this recent and utterly tragic event. After falling victim to the 1995 quake, I was encouraged by the huge amount of support, aid, and uplifting messages from people across all spectrums of society. The damage caused by the recent earthquake and tsunami is far more severe than that of the Great Hanshin Earthquake. The disastrous scenes from all over the affected region are truly horrible. However, I believe that a bright future awaits every affected hometown - much as it did after the Great Hanshin Earthquake. I sincerely hope that everyone in the many affected areas will soon be able to look forward to a bright future and recover from this epoch-defining tragedy as quickly as possible.
I have been thinking deeply about what I myself can do to support the many victims of this unprecedented disaster. And while what I'm personally able to contribute might be insignificant, I feel that starting something is of critical importance.

I fully agree with the supportive activities set forth by Tetsuya Ota, and I'm in constant contact with him - and only too happy to join his team immediately.

I'm looking forward to eventually seeing smiles on the faces of the scores of people affected by this horrific natural disaster.
