To the many victims of he Pacific Coast Tohoku Earthquake,
From Tetsuya Ota

We'd like to impart a message for the victims of the Tohoku earthquake from Mr. Tetsuya Ota. Mr. Ota is an ex-Mazda factory racing driver who came back from the brink of death 13 years ago after a severe accident during a GT championship race.

"My sympathy goes out to all the victims of this tragic event. I think many people are facing terribly difficult circumstances at this time, but I want them to keep their strength and believe that their smiles will once again return in the not-too-distant future.

"I have decided to do something within my abilities and so have made a charity challenge team with the aim of supporting the victims of the Pacific Coast Tohoku Earthquake. The team is called "Keep On Racing."

"At one time, I too lost my vitality to live. However, I was able to overcome the intensely difficult situation through the support and encouragement of my friends and other people. Now I believe it is my turn to support others in their time of need.

"While one person may have only limited power, a gathering of many people has exponentially more. I would be happy if my action serves in some small way to help the victims of the quake and tsunami.

"To the many victims of this horrifying disaster, please do not forget to maintain your hope for the future. Although you have been through an unimaginable calamity, without exception your smiles will one day return."
