RE Amemiya announces its participation in GT300 class of 2010 SUPER GT with RX-7
Mr. Isami Amemiya, Managing Director of RE Amemiya confirmed recently, "We will be participating in the 2010 SUPER GT with the same driver lineup, machine and team as in 2009."
RE Amemiya, the 2006 GT300 class champions, participated in the GT300 class in 2009 with the RX-7 driven by Nobuteru Taniguchi and Ryo Orime, taking second place in the championship. They fought for the title right up to the final round, losing out by only the narrowest of margins.
For the 2010 season, they will carry over their performance and experience, with the aim of securing the GT300 title. Sponsorship and colouring of the RX-7 remains the same as last season. The opening round of the 2010 SUPER GT season takes place on March 20-21 at Suzuka Circuit.
The Managing Director of Amemiya confirmed that the squad would also be contesting the 2010 D1 Grand Prix series with an RE Amemiya-developed RX-8.
