MZRacing to Exhibit at 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon
The MZRacing website, which reports on Mazda cars participating in motorsports around the world, will have an exhibition booth at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon. Tokyo Auto Salon is one of the biggest annual custom car shows in the world. It is scheduled to take place from January 13 to 15, 2012 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba prefecture, on the outskirts of the Japanese capital.
The MZRacing booth will be set up next to the Mazda booth. Showpieces include three race cars, a Knight Sports RX-8, which took 2nd place in the Road Sports Challenge race at the 2011 Macau Grand Prix, an M Sports DEMIO (Mazda2) rally car, which participated in the All-Japan Rally Championship with female Japanese entrant and former race queen Ms. Rina Ito, now working as a starlet, and a Mazda 787B (replica). There will also be pictures of Mazda cars in motorsport action from the U.S.A., Europe, Australia, and other areas on display. Furthermore, a wide range of exciting events are scheduled, including demonstration runs of the Mazda 787B on a specially laid-out course, a talk show featuring three Mazda motorsports guys, Mr. Yojiro Terada, ex-Mazda driver and “Mr. Le Mans”, Mr. Takaharu Kobayakawa, automobile journalist and ex-Mazda General Manager, and Mr. Nobuhiro Yamamoto, Mazda sports car chief engineer; and race reports by the Knight Sports team and Ms. Rina Ito.
The MZRacing Store off-line shop will be open at the booth. In addition to 1991 Le Mans 20th anniversary goods and official Mazda goods, new arrivals of clothing and products from Mazdaspeed USA and the original MZRacing “Love Rotary” items will be available for the first time.
