Knight Sports Vang Iek Team is scheduled to enter the 2011 Macau Grand Prix Road Sports Challenge to be held in Macau from November 17-20 with its RX-8 and RX-7 challengers.

The Macau Grand Prix Road Sports Challenge is one of the races that makes up the Macau Grand Prix weekend, and takes place on a street circuit run on Macau's city streets. The team will be competing alongside tuned sports cars from other manufacturers. Knight Sports Vang Iek aims to compete successfully against the strong crop of rivals and win the race.

After first competing in 2009 and 2010, this year's attempt marks the third time the Knight Sports squad has made the trip to the Macau Grand Prix. The Knight Sports Vang Iek RX-8, piloted by Mr.Tatsuya Tanigawa, scored a 2nd-place finish in the 2009 running of the race. In 2010, the RX-8 became embroiled in an accident that saw the car go out after just five seconds. This year, Knight Sports Vang Iek Team is bringing an improved version of their RX-8, and also a newly developed RX-7. The RX-8 has improved performance and reliability over its predecessor. Just as in the past two years, the RX-8 will be driven by Tatsuya Tanigawa, while Kevin Tse will take the reins of the RX-7. The Macau resident also competes in the GT Asia series.

Operation of the team is being coordinated by the Vang Iek Group, which runs Mazda Motors Macau Limited and a string of Mazda dealerships in China. The Vang Iek Group works hard to obtain sponsorship from local Macanese companies. The team will be entering this year's races with a stronger operation than in their previous attempts.
