MAZDA Roadster Race 2009
NC type Roadster to become possible participant in Fuji Champion Race and Motegi Champion Cup

The Mazda Sports Car Club (MSCC) announced that the latest model of Mazda Roadster (NCEC type) will be allowed to participate in the Roadster Class of the Fuji Champion Race series and in the Motegi Champion Cup series from the 2010 season. A race-spec version of the NCEC type Roadster, the NR-A is the base car of the Roadster Party Race, a one-make contest for road registered, license plate-holding entries which took place at Tsukuba Circuit until 2009.

Although it had been announced that races at other circuits were being considered, the NR-A race at Tsukuba Circuit will once again take place from this year, marking a great opportunity for NR-A users and the owners of third generation Roadsters. Meanwhile, the Roadster class of the Fuji Champion Race is expected to grow with the influx of participating NCEC type entries while the main entries of the Roadster class at the Fuji Champion Race are the NA/NB type.
2010 schedule :
Fuji Champion Race: March 14, April 18, July 15, December 12
Motegi Champion Cup: September 5
- Run with NA8C / NB8C
- Car regulations: Expected lap time at Fuji Speedway is 2' 05" (Best lap of current model is 2'08")
- Equal conditions as the N class racing car modification (installation of specified parts / authorized parts)
- MSCC series champion prize and DMA prize for each round are planned
