3-hour mark

The next stint saw Mr. Pixton in the car, followed by Mr. Fujiwara. During Pixton's stint the track was dry and there were no incidents. After coming back to the pits in 17th place, he said, “It was a fantastic experience. The race was very competitive and I was surprised at the skill level of the journalists. It felt like we were all wild animals. They're good animals! My time in the car just flew by. I was surprised that, just as I was getting used to the car, I got the call to pit in 15 minutes. Actually, it was a really enjoyable race.”

The track conditions were changing rapidly. After the 4th driver, Mr. Fujiwara went out on track the rain fell in torrents once again. Due to the deluge, many cars spun out or went off track, causing yellow flags. The Safety Car was called out to retrieve the stranded cars, with a wrecker truck used to tow them back to the paddock. However, just after the race was re-started, another car spun and came to a stop at the last corner, bringing out yellow flags and the Safety Car once more. Mr. Fujiwara commented, “It was a good experience. This was my first experience driving in such wet conditions with torrential rain falling. One car spun out right in front of me, and it was terrifying when I began to slide a little. But overall, the race was a huge thrill - I enjoyed it a lot. In the last half of my stint, I learned how to race. I'd love to do it again next year. Also, if I had the opportunity to run another 50 laps, I'm convinced I could go faster.”
