RX-8s Scores Second and Third
at Mid Ohio Grand-Am Rolex Series Round 7

The 2010 season has been a dominant showing by SpeedSource and their Mazda RX-8's. SpeedSource has been able to place one of their three team cars on the podium for every race this season. Saturday's Grand-Am Round 7 was no exception as Adam Christodoulou and John Edwards captured a second place finish in the #68 Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development Mazda RX-8. GT polesitter Jordan Taylor and Jade Buford took third in the #30 Racers Edge Motorsports Mazda RX-8. Meanwhile, championship leaders #69 Emil Assentato and Jeff Segal kept their momentum rolling by securing a strong fourth place finish.

"That was one of the most intense races I've driven," recalled John Edwards. "The heat outside and the competition on track made it very tough, but the SpeedSource guys gave us a great car and made some good calls to put us in contention at the end."

Current GT points leaders #69 Emil Assentato and Jeff Segal extended their lead. The duo now holds a 10-point margin to second place in the Driver's Standings.

#40 Dempsey Racing finished sixth-place. #42 Team Sahlen and #41 Dempsey Racing earned ninth-place and 10th place. #70 Castrol Syntec Mazda RX-8 was heavily damaged after colliding with an out-of-control GT Corvette and finished 12th place.
